Your eco friendly lifestyle for the sustainable planet – ZeroCO2
The eco friendly lifestyle represents the commitment of a person or community to a sustainable planet by reducing their carbon emissions directly and offsetting the remaining part.
More and more people recognize the relationship between the usage of fossil fuels and the climate crisis, and the resulting dangers, either in extreme weather or food security.
The shift of priorities in the manner of living is a warning signal to make timely changes.
To determine the direction of beneficial changes in lifestyle best way is to check the carbon footprint, including CO2 emissions of all daily activities involving fossil energy usage.
Almost all our activities (cooking, cooling, heating, usage of consumer electronic devices, traveling, etc.) require some kind of energy. Currently, our most widespread source of energy is fossil energy (coal, oil, and natural gas), so our ever-increasing energy demand generates more and more CO2 emissions.
The most commonly recommended solutions, such as changing eating habits, selective waste collection, or switching to LED lighting, significantly reduce CO2 emissions but are not enough to achieve zero emissions of personal or family lifestyles.
The voluntary carbon offset of the carbon footprint of a manner of living is your decision to help keep life sustainable by making your lifestyle carbon neutral.
For that purpose, we calculate the carbon footprint of personal- and family lifestyles, taking into account all the possible sources from which carbon dioxide emissions that increase the atmospheric greenhouse effect could originate.
I see the benefits of carbon neutral lifestyle
in maintaining a sustainable life on Earth.
The reduction of the carbon footprint is a real contribution to climate protection on the one hand and a timely life-changing decision on the other. The ‘climate friendly’ and the ‘carbon neutral’ are the new concepts that elevate the sustainability initiatives.
The carbon dioxide emission reductions of qualified climate protection projects (see map) are applied to offset the climate impact of personal and family lifestyles.
A carbon neutral website
credibly verifies the realized atmospheric carbon reduction you have achieved in your business or personally.
Why lifestyle carbon offsetting? ➤
The households are responsible for approximately 20% of annual global greenhouse gas emissions, which nears emissions from global transport.
Implementing solar panels and wind power stations etc. helping reduce the carbon footprint, but the technically unavoidable or residual carbon dioxide emissions in everyday life you can compensate for only.
The unfashionable truth is that the only way to take direct responsibility for those emissions is to enable an equivalent amount to be absorbed, or avoid being emitted, elsewhere. In short, to offset.

The videos below showcase the carbon reduction realized by some climate protection projects, which, as qualified carbon offsets, can be used together with others to achieve a carbon neutral lifestyle.

More and more verified climate protection projects are becoming known worldwide, makes it possible to compensate for more and more CO2 emissions. Moreover, it is not just about carbon offsetting, but also about forming a new opinion! Hence, the more people involved and know about it, the more impact it will have on public thinking!

Compensation of carbon emissions does not work with promises but can be achieved with the verified credits of climate protection projects i.e. carbon offsets that have already been carried out to prevent/reduce/limit CO2 emissions. It is a globally recognized solution because it is in line with the requirements of the Kyoto Protocol.
Of course, tree planting or supporting that is also a great thing. However, it is not acceptable as compensation for the carbon footprint of business- or personal websites. It is mainly because no reliable data on the achieved atmospheric carbon reduction has been available by tree planting.
In the rows of the table, there are individual and family lifestyles arranged by ranges according to the climate load (tCO2e) caused by their energy use. It allows the carbon footprint to be assigned directly to them.
No of persons in the family / community | Climate load tCO2e / yr |
---|---|
Single person | 6 |
Family with 1 child | 18 |
Family with 2 children | 24 |
Family with 3 children | 30 |
Family with more than 3 children | spec. calc. |

The price offer for the carbon offsets to compensate for the climate load considers the development of the daily carbon prices of the EU Emissions Trading System.
On 1 March 2023, the EU ETS daily carbon price is – 96.92 €/tCO2

The lifestyle carbon offset is retrospective, based on the actual number of members of the family/community in the 12 months before carbon offsetting. Find further help on the page ‘Request a quote for a lifestyle carbon offset’ please.
